How do I apply for a mortgage loan?

What is homebuyer education?
Homebuyer education is an 8-hour class that teaches about the homebuying process. This class must be provided by a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency. More information and a list of approved providers can be found here.
What do I need to apply?
- Complete the mortgage application here.
- Most recent 2 years W2's and tax returns
- 2 months of bank statements
- 30 days of paystubs
- Drivers license
How long does it take to purchase a home?
The first step is getting pre-approved. After that, you can begin shopping with a realtor. The realtor will take you to look at homes. When you put an offer on a home and it gets accepted, it can take anywhere between 2 weeks and 6 weeks until you can move into your new home.
